Pogonip'd
Date: December 17, 2008
Location: Reno, NV
Description: Living in Reno has a few perks, most notably meteorologically. Not only do we not contend with things such as humidity, mosquitos, or hurricanes, we also get the benefit of being *technically* in the Pacific Northwest. This is significant because it is the only place to see Pogonip, a rare phenomenon that results in freezing fog blanketing all around it. I've managed to see this twice in my near three years here. And unless you're in the southern hemisphere, you're probably amidst some sort of heat wave, wishing you could have a layer of frozen mist fall on you. Well, this is for you. And for people who like pogonip. And berries. And sticks.
