(1996)
The Goose, majestic in her flight,
Displaying ornamental might,
Flies effortlessly day or night
As if it were a gift.
But nature is unfit to house
This bird, whose beauty God endows.
Her melic calls, like wedding vows,
Perpetually drift.
So graceful and sublime is she,
Of aviary royalty,
That all the other birds agree
The Goose won’t be undone.
But I relax and eat meringue.
I hear a ‘quack’ and drop my Tang,
And with a sharp and potent BANG
I bag another one!
