In a shocking change of events, our scoopers recently discovered that longtime funding consultant liaison and general office drone Derek Sonderfan has up and quit his day job of more than three years in order to pursue his career. Shocking coworker and bookie alike, Derek's move is thought to be caused by a mild dislike of office life, a staunch dislike of responsibility, and a downright loathing of having to set an alarm in the mornings.
Several close friends of Derek have managed to clue us in as to the rationale behind this sudden change of lifestyle. One anonymous roommate had this to say: "He's home all the time, and he still doesn't do the dishes." We here at esoderek.com would like to say we think that anonymous post was likely made by a douchebag.
Listed among the things Derek plans on concentrating on in his off time are: his playwriting and submitting feverishly to theater companies, producers, literary agents, and the like; his fiction writing and trying to re-establish old connections in the field of novel publication; his suddenly flourishing and always resilient music career (with a new CD in the works currently); his acting career which had taken something of a hiatus after an unannounced haircut and his newfound love for stupid facial hair styles; and his new and exciting career as a stand-up comic. With five concentrations, has Derek found that quitting his job was only prolonging the fact that he will eventually have to do the dishes? Keep it here to find out!
